This is not my first visit to Singapore and many of my friends wonder that why I always waste money and went to the same country again and again? "Singapore is so expensive, the currency is too high" "Singapore is just right beside Malaysia, so I definitely won't go for the second time"...bla bla bla.
But for me, travelling to the same country is not wasting money. I still consider it as good as any other trip. Why can't we go to the same country for more than a few times? If you want to, just go and do what you love and travel there. People loves to go to Hatyai too, where Thailand is also the neighbouring country of Malaysia. A lot of people from Malaysia travel to Hatyai yearly, so why can't we go to Singapore too?
If you think that going to Singapore require high expenses, this is definitely a misconception. Usually, I won't list out how much I spend during my travel. But this time will be an exception.
4 days 3 nights total spending RM 1500++
- RM 257 → Airasia round trip (including 25kg baggage)
- RM 320 → Airbnb homestay at river valley (Behind Orchard)
- RM 218 → Ticket of Universal Studio Singapore (purchases at Klook)
- RM 33 → Starhub SIM card (purchases at Klook)
- $ 250 → Others spending (At that time, the currency exchange rate is at 3.02, which is around RM 755)
This is the total spending for me in Singapore, and I still have $30 left at the end of the trip.
For my own opinion, the purpose of travelling is to escape from the problems and stress in reality, and to relax yourself for awhile before returning back to your daily life.
Ok, there's enough nonsense from me😅 Let's explore what to do and eat in Singapore 🙆🏻♂️
Here is the list of food and stuff:
1. Universal Studio Singapore
I went there on Friday, so it's not very crowded. We don't have to queue for too long. I highly recommend to experience all the rides there or you will surely regret. LOL
🚇Way to USS: MRT Purple line (North East Line) HarbourFront Station, follow the sign and head to Vivocity, then go to Level 3 and find the access to Sentosa Express to USS.
2. Marina Bay Sands
The Marina Bay Sands light and water show is one show that you can watch in Singapore every night for free, the shows start at 8pm and 9.30pm. Louis Vuitton- the first Maison concept store in Southeast Asia.
🚇Way to MBS: MRT Orange Line (Cirle line) Bayfront Station.
3. Haidilao 313 Somerset
One of the MUST-eat restaurant there is Haidilao. They have a few branches, such as in Clarke Quay, Bedok, Vivocity and etc. I strongly recommend you to try their chicken soap. Remember to tell them that you want extremely thick chicken soup.
Before heading to USS, you might have to consider this as your brunch. It is located at Vivocity. Once you get out from the MRT station, turn left and walk till the end, and you will see the shop at your left side.
5. Ah Chew Dessert
If you are looking for dessert, this might also be a good choice for you. It taste extremely good! I wish to taste all of them but sadly I'm quite full that night😭. It is located at Bugis. There are a lot of steamboat restaurants around the street, so you can consider having your dinner or supper there too.
6. Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant
Swee Choon is located between Lavender and Bugis. They got 2 opening hours, the first being 11am to 2.30pm, and the second at 6pm to 6am. If you are looking for supper, Swee Choon Tim Sum is definitely the best choice for you. I strongly recommend the Ha Gao and Liu Sha Bao there. Words can't describe how good it taste, so you have to try it yourself there.
7. Ronin
The toast and sandwich are their signature food there. The price is also acceptable. It is best suited for breakfast and lunch.
🚇Way to Ronin: MRT Purple Line (North East Line) Clarke Quay Station, Exit A.8. Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea
Having a bubble milk tea while taking rest. 🥰
9. Idatenudon
10. Underground Crossing Fort Canning Park
11. Library @Orchard
12. Five Oars Coffee Roasters
